Where to Find Vixy in Palworld: Easy Spawn & Taming Guide

If you’ve spent any time building out your Palworld base, you’ve probably heard players rave about Vixy’s unbeatable farming utility. This cute, fox-like Pal doesn’t just look great hanging around your camp—it automatically digs up rare resources like berries, fiber, and even coins when assigned to a ranch. I spent hours scouring every biome earlier this month tracking down spawns, so I’m breaking down exactly where to find vixy palworld so you don’t have to waste your time wandering aimlessly. Before you head out, make sure you have at least a few common spheres, and try to stay around level 10 or higher to avoid getting overwhelmed by surrounding hostile Pals.

Where to Find Vixy in Palworld: Exact Spawn Biomes

Vixy is a low-level Neutral Pal, so it only spawns in the safest, lowest-level areas of the map to help new players get access to its farming perks early. You won’t find it in snowy biomes, volcanic zones, or the desert, so save yourself the trip and stick to the central starting grasslands. The highest spawn density is right around the Ruined Small Fortress fast travel point—I counted 6 separate Vixy spawns within a 2-minute walk of this point on my last playthrough.

You can also find scattered spawns along the path between the starting Plateau of Beginnings and the Small Settlement, but you’ll have to look a bit harder to spot them between groups of Lamball and Chikipi. It only spawns during daylight hours, so if you’re wandering the grasslands at night, you’ll only find Nocturnal Pals like Katress instead. If you’re still struggling to find vixy palworld spawns, try clearing out all other Pals in the clearing you’re in, then wait a few minutes for new Pals to spawn. Skip the late-night hunts for Vixy and head out first thing in the in-game morning to cut your search time in half.

How to Tell You’re in a Vixy Spawn Zone

Even if you’re in the right general biome, it can be hard to tell if you’re in a spot that actually spawns Vixy, especially if you’re rushing through the area fighting other Pals. I’ve picked up a few easy signs to watch for that mean you’re in the right spot:

  • You see frequent Lamball, Chikipi, and Cattiva spawns—these low-level neutral Pals share the same spawn pool as Vixy, so if you see lots of them, Vixy will appear eventually
  • The terrain is flat, short grass with no steep hills or dense tree cover—Vixy avoids wooded areas and rocky slopes, so stick to open clearings
  • There are no large hostile Pals like Rooby or Grizzbolt spawning nearby—Vixy only appears in zones with a recommended level of 10 or lower
  • If you check all three boxes and still don’t see Vixy, try fast traveling away and coming back, or resting at a nearby bed to reset the spawn pool. I’ve had to do this twice before when a zone was full of other Pals, and it worked both times.

Taming Tips for Vixy Once You Find It

Vixy is one of the easiest Pals to tame in the entire game, but there are a few tricks to make the process even smoother, especially if you’re a new player still getting used to the taming system. First, don’t use your strongest weapons to wear it down. Vixy only has 120 HP at level 5, so a single hit from a spear or bow can kill it instantly if you’re not careful. Use your fists or a weak stone club to lower its health to around 10% before throwing your sphere.

If you have a Pal with a low-level attack like Lamball, you can also send it out to fight Vixy, but keep a close eye on the health bar so you don’t accidentally take it out before you’re ready to throw a sphere. Vixy won’t attack you unprovoked, so you don’t have to worry about it running away or fighting back unless you hit it first. That means you can take your time positioning yourself before you start the taming process, no rush required. If you’re having trouble getting a sphere to stick, use a Common or even a Giga Sphere—you won’t need anything higher tier than that, even for higher level Vixy spawns. I’ve never had a Vixy break out of a Giga Sphere, even when it was at 30% health.

What to Do With Vixy After You Tame It

Once you’ve successfully tamed a Vixy, you’re probably wondering what makes it such a fan favorite among Palworld players. Its biggest perk is its Level 1 Farming Partner Skill, which lets it dig up random resources automatically when you assign it to a Ranch. You don’t have to do anything else after assigning it—just leave it at the ranch, and it will regularly produce berries, fiber, stone, and even small amounts of gold coins for you to collect. It’s one of the only low-level Pals that can produce gold without you having to sell resources manually, so it’s a great addition to your base as early as level 10.

Vixy also has a useful fast travel support skill that lets you call it to your side to ride short distances, though it’s not as fast as higher level mounts like Eikthyrdeer. If you don’t have a mount yet, Vixy is a great temporary option to get around the starting biome faster. If you want to optimize production, pair your Vixy with a Ranch upgrade to boost the amount of resources they dig up per hour. You don’t need to tame more than 2 or 3 Vixy for your base, either—any more than that will just take up space in your Palbox that you can use for higher utility Pals later on. I keep 2 at my ranch at all times, and they produce more than enough resources to keep my base stocked with food and crafting materials without any extra work from me.

Vixy is one of the most underrated early-game Pals in Palworld, and getting one as soon as possible will make building your first base way less stressful. You don’t have to wander across the entire map to get one, either—stick to the starting grasslands, watch for the spawn signs we covered, and you’ll be able to add this useful farming Pal to your team in no time. Next time you’re loading up the game, take a 10 minute detour to check the spawn zones we covered where to find vixy palworld, and you’ll be reaping the rewards of its automatic resource farming for the rest of your playthrough.
