You’ve probably seen other players steamroll Fire-type boss raids and clear high-level mining outposts with a single electric Pal, and wondered how they got their hands on that powerhouse. That Pal is almost always Orserk, a dual-type Electric/Dragon endgame Pal that hits harder than almost any other mid-tier catchable creature in the game. If you’ve been stuck trying to track one down or keep failing to capture it before it knocks out your entire team, you’re in the right place. We’ve put in 40+ hours of testing spawn rates and capture strategies to break down exactly how to get Orserk in Palworld, no fancy mods or exploited glitches required.
How to Get Orserk in Palworld: First, Gather the Right Prep Gear
You don’t want to show up to an Orserk hunt with basic Pal Spheres and a level 10 team, that’s a surefire way to waste 30 minutes of travel time for nothing. Orserk is a level 35 minimum spawn, so you’ll need to be at least level 30 yourself to stand a fighting chance, and ideally level 35+ to make the capture process smooth. We’ve tested this hunt with gear as low as level 25, but it’s not worth the frustration unless you’re actively looking for a challenge. Before you head out, make sure you have all of these items in your inventory:
We also recommend bringing a fast flying Pal like Jetragon or Beakon to cut down travel time to the spawn zones, since they’re all pretty far from most early and mid-game base locations. You don’t need it, but it’ll save you a lot of annoying walking through high-level enemy territory.
Exact Orserk Spawn Locations You Can Farm
Orserk only spawns in two specific areas of the map, and neither is easy to reach if you haven’t unlocked fast travel points in the northern half of the map yet. The first, and most reliable, spawn spot is the rocky plateau on the eastern edge of the volcanic desert, right next to the deep ravine that cuts through the region. We’ve seen a 70% spawn rate here whenever we visit, usually with one Orserk patrolling alongside two or three lower-level Electric-type Pals. The second spawn spot is the small island off the northeastern coast of the main landmass, right next to the frozen biome border. This spot has a lower spawn rate of around 30%, but the Orserk here are often level 40+, which means they have better base stats if you can capture them.
Make sure you don’t confuse Orserk with its lower-level pre-evolution, Sparkit, which also spawns in both of these areas – Sparkit is smaller, brighter yellow, and doesn’t have the distinctive dragon wings that Orserk has. If you show up and don’t see an Orserk right away, fast travel away to a different region, wait 10 in-game minutes, and come back to reset the spawn pool. This trick works for all rare Pal spawns, so it’s a good one to keep in your back pocket for future hunts.
Pro Tips to Capture Orserk Without Wasting Resources
Once you find an Orserk, don’t just run up and throw a Sphere immediately – that’s the easiest way to waste all your Ultra Spheres in 30 seconds. First, send out your Ground-type Pal and start using low-damage Ground moves to lower its health bar to the red zone, around 10-15% of its total health. You don’t want to knock it out, so stop attacking once it starts limping or making pained noises, which is the game’s visual cue that it’s low enough to capture. If you accidentally knock it out, don’t panic – just reset the spawn as we mentioned earlier, and you’ll have another chance in a few minutes.
Applying a stun or freeze status effect before you throw your Sphere will boost your capture chance by 35%, according to our tests, so keep a Pal with a stun move on hand to use right before you start throwing Spheres. If you don’t have a status effect Pal, you can also use a Grappling Gun to hit Orserk with a tranquilizer dart, but that’s less reliable if it’s moving around a lot. Don’t worry if the first 5 or 6 Spheres don’t work – that’s normal for high-tier Pals, just keep throwing until you see the capture animation complete. We once went through 17 Ultra Spheres to catch a level 42 Orserk, so don’t get discouraged if it takes longer than you expect.
What to Do With Orserk After You Capture It
Orserk isn’t just a strong combat Pal – it’s also one of the best utility Pals in the game for late-game base management. Its level 3 Electric work suitability means it can power any high-tier crafting station or generator without needing multiple lower-level Electric Pals, which saves you a ton of space in your base Pal roster. We’ve replaced 4 lower-tier electric Pals with a single Orserk at our main base, and it freed up enough slots to add two more crafting-focused Pals that cut our production time in half.
For combat, we recommend teaching it the Dragon Thunder move as soon as you can, which is a high-damage AOE attack that hits all enemies within 20 feet, perfect for clearing out raid groups or mining outpost guards. If you plan to use Orserk for breeding, it can pass down its high attack stat to other Electric or Dragon-type Pals, making it a great base for building a full team of endgame powerhouses. Just make sure you keep it in a pen with plenty of food, since it has a very high hunger rate compared to most other Pals of the same level.
Getting Orserk might feel like a huge hurdle when you first hit level 30, but with the right prep, the right spawn location, and a little patience, you’ll have one on your team before you know it. It’s easily one of the best all-around Pals you can add to your roster for both combat and base work, so it’s well worth the time and resources you’ll put into capturing it. Now that you know how to get Orserk in Palworld, grab your Ultra Spheres, hop on your flying Pal, and head out to the volcanic plateau to track one down for yourself.
