If you don’t have any Blazamut yet, the only consistent crossbreed combo I’ve tested is Blazehowl Noct (level 30+) + Relaxaurus Lux (level 30+). I ran this combo 8 times in my most recent playthrough, got 7 Blazamut eggs and 1 Relaxaurus Lux egg, so it has roughly an 87% success rate, which is way higher than any other crossbreed option. You can catch Blazehowl Noct in the forest biome at night, and Relaxaurus Lux spawns near the coastal areas of the desert biome, both are accessible for players as low as level 25 if you have a good team.
All of these combos have been tested across multiple playthroughs to make sure you get the highest possible chance of breeding Blazamut in Palworld on your first try. Avoid any combos that use low-level common pals like Chikipi or Lamball, those have a less than 1% success rate and are a complete waste of cake and time.
How to Optimize Your Blazamut’s Stats and Passives
Getting any Blazamut is a win, but if you want one that can carry you through endgame content, you’ll want to optimize its stats and passives before you breed. Target the right passives first, since passives have a bigger impact on performance than base stats for most use cases. For a combat-focused Blazamut, these are the best passives to aim for:
You don’t need all of these on your first Blazamut, of course. I started with a Blazamut that only had Fire Master and Musclehead, and it still carried me through the final boss fight with no issues. If you want to stack more passives later, you can breed your new Blazamut with another pal that has the missing passive you want, just make sure the other parent also has high IVs so you don’t lose the good stats you already have.
IV inheritance works pretty simply: each stat (HP, Attack, Defense, Speed) has a 50% chance to take the higher of the two parents' IVs, 25% to take the lower, and 25% to get a random small boost. If you breed two Blazamut with 4-star attack IV, your baby has a 75% chance to get 4-star attack, which is way better than the 5% chance of finding a wild Blazamut with that stat.

The first mistake is using parents with conflicting or negative passives. If one parent has Musclehead (boosts attack) and the other has Frail (lowers attack), there’s a 30% chance your Blazamut will get both, which cancels out the benefit entirely. Always scan both parents' passives before starting the breeding process, and avoid any parents with negative passives if you can.
Another common mistake is ignoring egg hatching conditions. Blazamut eggs are fire-type, so they hatch fastest in warm areas like the volcanic biome or near a heat source at your base. If you leave a fire egg in the snowy biome, it will take 3x longer to hatch, and there’s a small chance it won’t hatch at all. You don’t need any special incubator for Blazamut eggs, a regular incubator works fine as long as you place it in a warm spot.
Last, don’t waste rare cake on low quality parents. If your parents only have 1-star IVs across the board, you’re better off catching higher stat versions first before breeding, otherwise you’ll waste resources on a Blazamut that’s weaker than a wild spawn.
